DEVLOPMENT TAX : ਹੁਣ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ/ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨਰ ਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਟੇਗਾ ਡਿਵੈਲਪਮੈਂਟ ਟੈਕਸ, ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੋ਼ਧ
ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ, 30 ਜਨਵਰੀ 2024 ( PBJOBSOFTODAY) ਹੁਣ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ/ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨਰ ਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਟੇਗਾ ਡਿਵੈਲਪਮੈਂਟ ਟੈਕਸ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਸਪਸ਼ਟੀਕਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਪਸ਼ਟੀਕਰਨ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਮੁਲਾਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨਰਾਂ ਦਾ DEVLOPMENT TAX ਕੱਟਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਾਲ ਚ ਆਮਦਨ ਕਰ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ। Pb.jobsoftoday.in
ਭਾਵ ਜੇਕਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ ਜਾਂ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨਰ ਦਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਾਲ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਆਮਦਨ ਕਰ ਸਲੈਬ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੋਈ ਆਮਦਨ ਟੈਕਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਡਿਵੈਲਪਮੈਂਟ ਟੈਕਸ ਵੀ ਅਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਸਪਸ਼ਟੀਕਰਨ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, "The tax under this Act shall be levied on the persons in the categories mentioned in the Schedule only if they are income tax payee i.e. the tax, for any particular financial year, shall be payable under this Act only by those persons whose taxable income for the same financial year, before allowing deduction on account of tax levied under this Act, exceeds the maximum amount which is not chargeable to Income Tax by the amount of tax payable by him under this Act for that year."
