Punjab Education Department Announces Teacher Transfer Opportunities for Schools of Eminence
Chandigarh, March 21, 2025 – The Punjab School Education Department has issued a notification inviting applications from eligible Master Cadre and Lecturer cadre teachers for transfer to Schools of Eminence across the state. This initiative aims to fill existing vacancies in these prestigious institutions through promotions and transfers.
According to the official notification (Reference No. SOE/2025/71011-015, dated March 21, 2025) released by the Director of School Education (Secondary), Punjab, the department has already filled some positions in the Schools of Eminence through promotions and transfers during the current session. However, several posts remain vacant, prompting this new round of applications.
Interested teachers from the Master Cadre and Lecturer cadre can submit their applications online through the E-Punjab portal between March 25, 2025, and April 3, 2025, until 5:00 PM.
The notification clarifies that if multiple applications are received for a single vacant post, a selection committee appointed by the undersigned will follow a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to finalize the appointment.
Important Note: The number of vacant posts may be subject to change based on student enrollment.
A copy of this notification has been sent to the Principal Secretary School Education, Punjab, the Director General School Education, Punjab, the Special Secretary School Education (C), Punjab, the Director SCERT, Punjab, and all District Education Officers (Secondary) for necessary action and dissemination of information to all Principals of Schools of Eminence.
This move is expected to provide an opportunity for teachers to contribute to the academic excellence of the Schools of Eminence and ensure quality education for students. Teachers are encouraged to visit the E-Punjab portal for detailed information and to submit their applications within the stipulated timeframe.
