Punjab Government Suspends Commutation Recovery for Pensioners with 10+ Years of Retirement
Chandigarh, Punjab- In a significant relief for thousands of retired government employees in Punjab, the state government has announced the suspension of commutation recovery for pensioners who have completed 10 or more years of retirement. This decision comes following an interim order passed by the Punjab and Haryana High Court in various civil writ petitions.
The Punjab Government has issued a letter to all banks, directing them to halt the recovery of the commuted value of pensions from pensioners who have served for at least a decade post-retirement. This stay order will remain in effect until further notice from the court.
The suspension of commutation recovery is expected to provide much-needed financial relief to countless pensioners who have been facing difficulties due to the deduction. It will allow them to retain a larger portion of their pension income, improving their overall quality of life.

ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ, ਪੰਜਾਬ - ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਸੇਵਾਮੁਕਤ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਵੱਡੀ ਰਾਹਤ ਵਿੱਚ, ਸੂਬਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ 10 ਜਾਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾਮੁਕਤੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਕਮਿਊਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਰਿਕਵਰੀ ਮੁਅੱਤਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਿਵਲ ਰਿੱਟ ਪਟੀਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਸ ਕੀਤੇ ਅੰਤਰਿਮ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਬੈਂਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਪੱਤਰ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਕੇ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ 10 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾਮੁਕਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸੇਵਾਮੁਕਤ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਕਮਿਊਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਮਤ ਦੀ ਵਸੂਲੀ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਰੋਕ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਦੇ ਅਗਲੇ ਨੋਟਿਸ ਤੱਕ ਲਾਗੂ ਰਹੇਗਾ।
ਕਮਿਊਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਰਿਕਵਰੀ ਮੁਅੱਤਲ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੈਨਸ਼ਨਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀ ਰਾਹਤ ਮਿਲਣ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਵਸੂਲੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
