Punjab Government Declares Public Holiday on Muharram
Malerkotla: The Punjab government has announced a public holiday for the district of Malerkotla on July 17, 2024, in observance of Muharram. The order, issued by the Deputy Commissioner, mandates the closure of all government offices, educational institutions, and banks on this day.
Muharram is a significant religious occasion for the Muslim community. The holiday is declared as a mark of respect and to allow people to observe the day with solemnity.

ਮਲੇਰਕੋਟਲਾ: ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਮੁਹਰੱਮ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਮਲੇਰਕੋਟਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ 17 ਜੁਲਾਈ, 2024 ਨੂੰ ਜਨਤਕ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ, ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੈਂਕ ਬੰਦ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ।
ਮੁਹਰੱਮ ਮੁਸਲਿਮ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਅਹਿਮ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਦਿਨ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਜਨਤਕ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
