It has been decided by the Cabinet regarding
the rationalization of existing allowances, for example Academic Allowance, Administrative Allowance;
ARP Allowance; Basta Allowance; Body and Uniform Allowance; Border Area
Allowance; Commando Allowance; Cycle Allowance; Department Allowance; Diet
Allowance, Emergency Allowance, ESI Allowance, Hair Allowance; Handicapped
Allowance; Machine Photostate Allowance; Medal Allowance; Newspaper Allowance;
Office Rent Allowance; Patwar Khana Allowance; Petrol/Diesel Allowance; Practical
Allowance; Railway Allowance; Ration Allowance; Record Room Allowance; Risk
Allowance; Science Allowance; Shift Allowance; Stationary Allowance; Sumptuary
Allowance; Teaching Allowance; Transport Allowance; Tunnelling Allowance; Typing
Allowance; Uniform Allowance; Washing Allowance; Kit Maintenance Allowance and
Design: Allowance, is required.

The Administrative Department concerned are directed to carry out an exercise to
rationalise the above mentioned existing allowances and submit its proposal to Finance
Department regarding their continuation/abolition, alongwith financial implications.
These allowances shall therefore be paid with the revised pay only after
finalization of this issue.
