Haryana Government Announces 55% DA and DR for Employees and Pensioners from January 2025

In a significant move to support its workforce and retirees, the Haryana Government has announced an increase in the Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) from 53% to 55% of the basic pay and pension/family pension. This adjustment, effective from January 1, 2025, applies to government employees and pensioners/family pensioners drawing their pay and pension as per the 7th Pay Commission structure.
Key Details of the DA and DR Hike
The decision was formalized through an order issued by the Finance Department of Haryana on April 23, 2025, signed by Anurag Rastogi, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Haryana, Finance Department. The enhanced DA and DR will be disbursed with the pay and pension/family pension for April 2025. Additionally, arrears for the months of January to March 2025 will be paid in May 2025.
Payment Rounding Rules
The order specifies that fractions of 50 paise and above in the payment on account of DA and DR will be rounded to the next higher rupee, while fractions less than 50 paise will be ignored.
