Punjab Government Amends Service Rules for Elementary Education Teachers
Chandigarh, March 6, 2025: ( ਜਾਬਸ ਆਫ ਟੁਡੇ)The Punjab Government has introduced amendments to the Punjab State Elementary Education (Teaching Cadre) Group 'C' Service Rules, 2018, and the Punjab State Elementary Education (Teaching Cadre) Border Area Group 'C' Service Rules, 2018. The changes were officially notified in the Punjab Government Gazette (Extraordinary) on March 6, 2025.

1. Amendments to Teaching Cadre Group 'C' Rules
As per Notification No. G.S.R. 7/Const./Art.309/Amd.(5)/2025, the government has revised the eligibility criteria, recruitment process, and service conditions for elementary education teachers in Punjab.
These changes aim to enhance the quality of education by ensuring better qualifications and professional standards among teachers.
2. Amendments to Teaching Cadre Border Area Rules
Notification No. G.S.R. 8/Const./Art.309/Amd.(5)/2025 introduces modifications specifically for teachers appointed in border areas.
The new rules provide special provisions and benefits to teachers working in these challenging regions.
The amendments are expected to improve recruitment and retention of teachers in Punjab's border districts.

ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ,(ਜਾਬਸ ਆਫ ਟੁਡੇ) 6 ਮਾਰਚ, 2025: ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਰਾਜ ਐਲੀਮੈਂਟਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ (ਟੀਚਿੰਗ ਕਾਡਰ) ਗਰੁੱਪ 'ਸੀ' ਸੇਵਾ ਨਿਯਮ, 2018, ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਰਾਜ ਐਲੀਮੈਂਟਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ (ਟੀਚਿੰਗ ਕਾਡਰ) ਬਾਰਡਰ ਏਰੀਆ ਗਰੁੱਪ 'ਸੀ' ਸੇਵਾ ਨਿਯਮ, 2018 ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਧਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਤਬਦੀਲੀਆਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਗਜ਼ਟ (ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼) ਵਿੱਚ 6 ਮਾਰਚ, 2025 ਨੂੰ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਨੋਟੀਫਾਈ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ।

1. ਟੀਚਿੰਗ ਕਾਡਰ ਗਰੁੱਪ 'ਸੀ' ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਧਾਂ
