Chandigarh, February 2025: The Punjab State Election Commission has initiated the process of revising and updating the electoral rolls for the upcoming Zila Parishads and Panchayat Samitis elections in 2025. - Draft Publication of Electoral Rolls: February 10, 2025
- Filing of Claims and Objections: February 11 to February 19, 2025
- Disposal of Claims and Objections: By February 27, 2025
- Final Publication of Electoral Rolls: March 3, 2025
Special Voter Registration Campaign
The Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) will conduct a special voter registration campaign on:
- February 14 and 15, 2025
This campaign will focus on:
- New voter registrations
- Deletion of ineligible voters
- Corrections and transposition of votes
Eligibility for Voter Registration
As per Section 28 of the Punjab State Election Commission Act, 1994, a person must:
