District Legal Services Authority Offering Contractual Legal Aid Defense Counsel Positions
The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) of Rupnagar is hiring for two Contractual Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel positions.
Eligibility
- A background in law is a must
- Experience of at least 20 criminal trials in Sessions Courts
- Must have handled and defended at least 5 Sessions cases
- Experience with cross-examination is a plus
Responsibilities
The Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel will provide legal representation to those who cannot afford it. This includes representing clients in court, advising them on their legal rights, and helping them navigate the legal system.
Contract and Honorarium
The position is contractual and full-time. The selected candidates will receive an honorarium (retainership fee) of Rs. 50,000 per month.
