NOS 2024 :- The National Overseas Scholarship ( NOS 2024 ) for SC etc. Candidates is a scholarship program that provides financial assistance to students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Denotified Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNT), Landless Agricultural Labourers (Lal), and Traditional Artisans (TA) to pursue Master's or Ph.D. degrees abroad.
Objective Of NOS 2024
The objective of the scholarship program NOS 2024 is to facilitate higher education for students from these communities and improve their economic and social status.
Scope of Nos 2024
- The scholarship provides financial assistance for Master's and Ph.D. courses in any field of study at universities accredited by the government of the host country.
- Up to 125 scholarships are awarded each year, subject to availability of funds.
- A maximum of 10% of the scholarships are allotted to students from each state
Eligibility for NOS
- Applicants must belong to the SC, DNT, Lal, or TA communities.
- Applicants must have a minimum of 60% marks in their qualifying examination.
- Applicants must be selected for admission to a Master's or Ph.D. program at a university abroad.

- Not more than 35 (Thirty Five) years, as on first day of April for selection year.

Income Ceiling for NOS
- Total family income from all sources shall not exceed Rs. 8.00 lakh per annum .

- First Round: The portal opens for applications in mid-February for a period of 45 days. Only online applications received during this period are considered.

Duration for NOS financial assistance 2024
The prescribed financial assistance will be provided up to a sanctioned duration of the course/research or the following period, whichever is earlier:
- Ph.D.: 04 years (Four years)
- Master's Degree: 03 years (Three years)
