The Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) has issued an official press note announcing its upcoming Apprentice Recruitment drive for the year 2026-27. Under Advertisement No. 01/2026, dated 14 June 2026, applications are invited from eligible candidates for apprentice training across various technical trades under the provision of the Apprenticeship Act 1961.
These positions are situated within the O&M Division, BBMB, Dhulkote (Ambala). Aspiring candidates can submit their applications online starting from 20.06.2026.

Deployment and Selection Criteria
According to the official notification, the deployment structure will consist of immediate appointments as well as a merit-based waitlist for future vacancies:
- Immediate Allocation (04 Posts): 03 Lineman posts (01 at 66 KV S/s Chandigarh, 02 at 220 KV TL, Dhulkote, Haryana) and 01 Electrician post (220 S/S, Dhulkote, Haryana) will be filled up immediately.
- Contractual / Future Vacancies (12 Posts): The remaining 12 Lineman trade contracts will be issued on an "as and when vacancy arises" basis. This allocation will rely strictly on a merit list prepared during selection, which will remain valid up to 31.12.2026. These future locations include:
- 220 KV TL, Dhulkote (Haryana) — 3 posts
- 66 KV S/s Chandigarh — 2 posts
- 400 KV TL Bhiwani (Haryana) — 2 posts
- 400 KV TL Panipat (Haryana) — 2 posts
- 400 KV TL Patiala (Punjab) — 2 posts
- 400 KV TL Slapper (Himachal Pradesh) — 1 post
