UGC Warns of 32 Fake Universities Across India
New Delhi, February 22, 2026: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has identified 32 fake universities operating without approval across the country. The degrees issued by these institutions are not valid for jobs or higher education. Delhi tops the list with 12 fake universities, followed by Uttar Pradesh with 4.
