### US Imposes Additional Duties on Indian Products Pursuant to Presidential Executive Order Addressing Russian Threats
Washington, August 26, 2025 – The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued a notice announcing the implementation of additional duties on certain products imported from India. This action is in accordance with President’s Executive Order 14329, dated August 6, 2025, which addresses threats to the United States posed by the Government of the Russian Federation.
The notice specifies that a determined rate of duty will be imposed on imports of articles that are products of India. The Secretary of Homeland Security has deemed this appropriate action necessary to modify the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), with details outlined in an annex to the notice.
These duties will apply to Indian products entered for consumption, or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption, on or after 12:01 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time on August 27, 2025.
