What’s New in the 2025 TA/DA Rules
- Revised entitlements implemented under 6th Punjab Pay Commission/7th CPC framework.
- Employee re-categorization based on pay level for TA/DA purposes.

Transfer: Transport Charges for Personal Effects (Lump Sum)
Represents a single consolidated entitlement meant to cover movement of household goods, conveyance, family members and displacement compensation. Admissible only for transfers made in public interest. Reimbursement is limited to actuals or entitlement, whichever is lower, and subject to submission of transport bills.

If an employee is re-posted to a different station before actually moving, admissibility will be calculated based on the two stations between which the final movement of household goods actually took place.

- Keep original tickets/boarding passes, hotel GST bills, taxi bills, and toll/parking receipts.
- Record departure/arrival times to compute DA correctly (30%/50%/100%).
- Use government guest houses where applicable (Punjab Bhawan/Circuit/Rest House for Delhi & Shimla) to remain within rules.
- For transfer, obtain itemized transport bills; ensure distance slab matches actual shortest route.
- Submit claims promptly as per your department’s workflow with sanctioning authority approval.
