ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮਨੋਹਰ ਲਾਲ ਖੱਟਰ ਨੇ ਊਰਜਾ ਦੀ ਬਚਤ ਅਤੇ ਟਿਕਾਊਪਨ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਏਅਰ ਕੰਡੀਸ਼ਨਰਾਂ (ਏਸੀ) ਲਈ ਨਵੀਂ ਤਾਪਮਾਨ ਮਿਆਰੀ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਖੱਟਰ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ, ਨਵੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਹੇਠ ਏਸੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਤਾਪਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ 20°C ਤੋਂ 28°C ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਸਟੈਂਡਰਡਾਈਜ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜਿਸਦਾ ਮਤਲਬ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਏਸੀ 20°C ਤੋਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਠੰਡਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ 28°C ਤੋਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਗਰਮੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਾ ਸਕਣਗੇ। ( ਜਾਬਸ ਆਫ ਟੁਡੇ)
ਖੱਟਰ ਨੇ ਇਸਨੂੰ "ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਦਾ ਐਕਸਪਰੀਮੈਂਟ" ਦੱਸਿਆ, ਜਿਸਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਊਰਜਾ ਦੀ ਬਚਤ ਅਤੇ ਟਿਕਾਊ ਊਰਜਾ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਧਦੀ ਤਾਪਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਏਅਰ ਕੰਡੀਸ਼ਨਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵਧੀਆ ਕਦਮ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਹਾ ਹੈ।
