On **Day 2 (May 16)**, a heat wave is expected to affect eastern districts, with a yellow alert issued for Ludhiana, SAS Nagar (Mohali), Patiala, Fatehgarh Sahib, Rupnagar, and Nawanshahr. Residents in these areas should stay hydrated and avoid direct sun exposure during peak hours.
By **Day 3 (May 17)**, the heat wave expands to include southern and western districts, with a yellow alert for Fazilka, Muktsar, Bathinda, Mansa, and Faridkot, alongside the previously affected Ludhiana, SAS Nagar, Patiala, Fatehgarh Sahib, Rupnagar, and Nawanshahr. Additionally, thunderstorms and lightning are forecast for central and eastern regions, including Ludhiana and SAS Nagar, which may lead to disruptions.
On **Day 4 (May 18)**, the heat wave subsides, but thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) are expected in Ludhiana, SAS Nagar, Patiala, Fatehgarh Sahib, Rupnagar, and Nawanshahr (yellow alert). Outdoor activities should be planned with caution.

ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ, 15 ਮਈ 2025 ( ਜਾਬਸ ਆਫ ਟੁਡੇ) - ਭਾਰਤੀ ਮੌਸਮ ਵਿਭਾਗ (IMD) ਨੇ ਅਗਲੇ 2 ਤੋਂ 3 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਬੀ, ਪੱਛਮੀ, ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਤਰ-ਪੂਰਬੀ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਮਿਆਨੀ ਤੋਂ ਭਾਰੀ ਮੀਂਹ ਦੀ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ, ਪੰਜਾਬ, ਹਰਿਆਣਾ, ਉੱਤਰਾਖੰਡ, ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨ, ਕੋਂਕਣ, ਗੋਆ, ਮਹਾਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਡਮਾਨ ਤੇ ਨਿਕੋਬਾਰ ਟਾਪੂਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ 17 ਮਈ ਤੱਕ ਹਲਕੀ ਤੋਂ ਦਰਮਿਆਨੀ ਬਾਰਿਸ਼ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਹੈ।
ਮੌਸਮ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ 14 ਮਈ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਰੀ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰੈਸ ਰਿਲੀਜ਼ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਦੱਖਣੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਇਦੀਪੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਗਲੇ 5 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਮੀਂਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਗਰਜ-ਚਮਕ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਪੈਣ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਚੇਤ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
