District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Rupnagar has released a notification for the recruitment of the following contractual posts:
- 01 Post of Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel
- 01 Post of Assistant Legal Aid Defense Counsel
Honorarium
- Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel: Rs. 50,000/- per month
- Assistant Legal Aid Defense Counsel: Rs. 30,000/- per month
Eligibility Criteria
For the post of Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel:
- Must attach photocopies of judgments in 5 Sessions cases as Defense Lawyer.
- Must attach photocopies of at least 5 cross-examinations in Sessions cases.
- Must have handled at least 20 criminal trials in Sessions Courts. (This requirement can be relaxed to 10 trials in special cases.)
For the post of Assistant Legal Aid Defense Counsel:
- Should have practiced in criminal law for 0 to 3 years.

ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਅਥਾਰਟੀ, ਰੂਪਨਗਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਠੇਕੇ 'ਤੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਲਈ ਹੇਠ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਅਸਾਮੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਅਰਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਮੰਗੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ:

ਮਾਸਿਕ ਮਾਨਦੰਡ (ਹਨੋਰੇਰੀਅਮ)
- ਡਿਪਟੀ ਚੀਫ਼ ਲੀਗਲ ਏਡ ਡਿਫੈਂਸ ਕੌਂਸਲ: ਰੁਪਏ 50,000/- ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਮਹੀਨਾ
- ਅਸਿਸਟੈਂਟ ਲੀਗਲ ਏਡ ਡਿਫੈਂਸ ਕੌਂਸਲ: ਰੁਪਏ 30,000/- ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਮਹੀਨਾ
ਯੋਗਤਾ
ਡਿਪਟੀ ਚੀਫ਼ ਲੀਗਲ ਏਡ ਡਿਫੈਂਸ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਲਈ:
- 5 ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਨੇ ਡਿਫੈਂਸ ਲਾਇਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਫੋਟੋਕਾਪੀਆਂ ਲਗਾਉਣੀਆਂ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ ਹਨ।
- 5 ਕ੍ਰਾਸ ਏਗਜ਼ਾਮਿਨੇਸ਼ਨਜ਼ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਕਲਾਂ ਲਗਾਉਣੀਆਂ ਹੋਣ।
- ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ 20 ਅਪਰਾਧਿਕ ਟ੍ਰਾਇਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਖਾਸ ਕੇਸਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਘਟਾ ਕੇ 10 ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ)
ਅਸਿਸਟੈਂਟ ਲੀਗਲ ਏਡ ਡਿਫੈਂਸ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਲਈ:
- ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰ ਨੇ ਅਪਰਾਧਿਕ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਵਿੱਚ 0 ਤੋਂ 3 ਸਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਪ੍ਰੈਕਟਿਸ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।
