Punjab Government Issues Strict Guidelines for Transparent and Accountable Governance
*Chandigarh, February 14, 2025 ( Jobsoftofay )– The Punjab Government has issued fresh directives aimed at ensuring transparency, accountability, and integrity in public service delivery. The Department of Personnel (Personnel Policy-2 Branch) has released official instructions to all key government officials, including Special Chief Secretaries, Financial Commissioners, Administrative Secretaries, and top police officers, to take effective measures against corruption and misconduct.
According to the circular, all public offices must ensure a hassle-free experience for citizens, preventing harassment and financial demands during interactions with government officials. The directive emphasizes that public services should be delivered efficiently and politely.
Additionally, to enhance accountability, feedback on the performance of key officers, including Deputy Commissioners, SSPs, SDMs, and Tehsildars, will be collected from both the general public and elected representatives such as MPs and MLAs. This feedback will influence annual appraisals and disciplinary actions, reinforcing a merit-based system in governance.
The Punjab Government has reiterated its commitment to a corruption-free administration, urging officials to uphold ethical standards while serving the public. These instructions have been issued with the approval of the Competent Authority, as per the circular signed by the Secretary of Personnel & Vigilance.
This move is expected to strengthen public trust and improve governance efficiency across the state.

*ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ, 13 ਫ਼ਰਵਰੀ 2025 ( ਜਾਬਸ ਆਫ ਟੁਡੇ) – ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰੀ ਪਾਰਦਰਸ਼ਤਾ, ਜਵਾਬਦੇਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰੀ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਨਵੇਂ ਹੁਕਮ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ। ਕਾਰਜਕਾਰੀ ਨੀਤੀ-2 ਸ਼ਾਖਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਇਸ ਨੋਟਿਸ ਤਹਿਤ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਮੁੱਖ ਸਕੱਤਰੀ, ਵਿੱਤੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ, ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨਿਕ ਸਕੱਤਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਚ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਪਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਗਲਤ ਅਮਲਾਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਹਦਾਇਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਦਫ਼ਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਪਟਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਵਹਾਰ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੜਤਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਲੈਣ-ਦੇਣ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਗੁਜ਼ਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਕੰਮ ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੀਘ੍ਰ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਪਟਾਇਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ, ਉੱਚ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ, SSP, SDM, ਤਹਿਸੀਲਦਾਰ ਆਦਿ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਗੁਜ਼ਾਰੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਫੀਡਬੈਕ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਫੀਡਬੈਕ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ, ਸਗੋਂ MPs ਅਤੇ MLAs ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਲਾਨਾ ਅੰਕਲਣ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਇਨਾਮ ਜਾਂ ਦੰਡ ਦੇ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਮੁੜ ਯਕੀਨ ਦਵਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰਪਸ਼ਨ ਮੁਕਤ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ-ਮਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਨਾ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਥਮਿਕਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਹੁਕਮ ਯੋਗ ਅਥਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਚ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਹਦਾਇਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
