Food wastage is an important issue that affects everybody. Each year, an immense amount of food is wasted at various points such as households, restaurants, and grocery stores. This wastage results in the loss of resources like water, energy and money used to cultivate, transport and prepare food. To mitigate this issue, we should purchase and cook only what we need, which can be achieved through good meal planning. Proper storage techniques are essential to keep food fresh for longer periods. Additionally, leftover can be creatively recooked into new meals. By being wiser with our food consumption, we not only save money but also contribute positively to the environment. Reducing food wastage ensures that more food is available for those in need.
