EM Harjit Singh Bains Refutes Claims of Teacher Beating Video Being from Public School
Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains clarified that a video circulating on social media, showing a teacher beating a student, is wrongly attributed to a government school. The incident actually occurred in a private school.
The minister directed the district administration to file an FIR against the school owner, principal, and teacher involved in the case.

Bains criticized certain media outlets for misreporting the incident as being connected to a government school. He emphasized that such false narratives unfairly tarnish the reputation of hardworking government school teachers, who go above and beyond by organizing extra classes, wake-up calls, and ensuring students excel in exams.

He urged media houses to exercise caution, stating that one incorrect report could undermine the significant efforts of educators dedicated to their students' success.
