Introduction to NIELIT
The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) is a premier organization under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. NIELIT is engaged in providing education, training, and consultancy in the field of Information Technology (IT) and Electronics.
Guest Faculty Positions
NIELIT Chandigarh is currently inviting applications for Guest Faculty positions in the following disciplines:
- Senior Faculty (IT)
- Senior Faculty (Electronics)
- Junior Faculty (Networking)
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for each position are outlined in the image. Key requirements include:
- Senior Faculty (IT): BE/BTech/M.Sc in IT/CS or MCA of NIELIT 'B' Level with 2 years of experience.
- Senior Faculty (Electronics): BE/BTech/M.Sc in Electronics and Communication or NIELIT 'B' Level with 3 years of experience.
- Junior Faculty (Networking): BE/BTech/M.Sc in IT/CS/Electronics and Communication or NIELIT 'A' Level.
Essential Qualifications
- Senior Faculty (IT): Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge in Python with Data Science and Machine Learning.
- Senior Faculty (Electronics): Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge in Computer Hardware/IOT/Embedded.
- Junior Faculty (Networking): Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge in Network Administration and Troubleshooting.
Remuneration and Contract Duration
The monthly consolidated remuneration for each position is as follows:
- Senior Faculty: Rs. 35,000/-
- Junior Faculty: Rs. 25,000/-
The initial contract duration is 1 year for Senior Faculty and 3 years for Junior Faculty.
Selection Process for NIELIT Recruitment 2025
The selection process include a walk-in interview. The specific selection criteria will be determined by NIELIT. The candidates must bring all their original testimonials/certificates for checking of the eligibility at the time of submitting their Application Form. All the degree/diplomas must be from a recognized university.

How to Apply for NIELIT Recruitment 2025
Interested candidates can apply by submitting their applications to NIELIT Chandigarh. Intersted candidate will have to submit Proforma which can be downloaded from official website or you can download here.
Candidates are required to attach legible self attested copies of the following documents /certificates with their Application form :-
a) Prescribed Application Fee in the shape of a Bank Draft/Pay Order payable at Rupnagar(Ropar), Punjab or POS machine receipt.
b) SC/ST or PWD certificate, if applicable.
c) Matriculation/10th Class certificate showing Date of Birth.
d) Degree/Certificates of essential qualification which makes him/her eligible for applying for the post applied.
e) Degree certificate of higher educational qualification, if any.
f) Requisite post qualification experience certificate(s), if required, clearly mentioning the starting and ending dates of employment, which makes him/eligible for applying for the post.
g) A copy of Aadhaar Card & PAN Card.
h) A copy of first page of bank account passbook where his/her name, address and
bank particulars are printed
Following Application fee is payable, in the shape of Bank Draft/Bank Pay Order drawn in favour of “NIELIT Chandigarh”, payable at Rupnagar(Ropar) : -
- (i) SC/ST/Person with disability(PWD)/ Female - Rs 350/-
- (ii) All other categories - Rs 700/
Important Notes
- The Employer's share of EPF, if applicable, will be paid extra.
- There is no upper age limit for these positions.
