State Election Commission Announces Panchayat Elections for 20 Villages in Muktsar Sahib
Chandigarh: The State Election Commission, Punjab, has issued a notification regarding the General Elections for the vacant post of Sarpanch and Panches in 20 villages of Block Gidderbaha, District Sri Muktsar Sahib. The elections are scheduled to be held on **15th December 2024 (Sunday)**.

The notification, dated 7th December 2024, emphasizes the need for the Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer of Sri Muktsar Sahib to make necessary logistical arrangements. These include the appointment of Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers, as well as ensuring the availability of ballot boxes, ballot papers, and other election-related materials.
The Election Commission has directed that the election program be communicated promptly to all concerned and has requested that the matter be treated on **TOP PRIORITY**.
Further copies of the notification have been sent to the Additional Deputy Commissioner (RD)-cum-Additional District Election Officer for appropriate action.
