Punjab School Education Board to Review Promotions from O.C.T. to Master Cadre
Chandigarh, Punjab, 20 July 2024 (PBJOBSOFTODAY) The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has announced a review of promotions made from the O.C.T. (Other Category Teachers) cadre to the Master cadre in various subjects across the state. This follows a directive from the Punjab and Haryana High Court based on writ petitions filed by O.C.T. cadre employees. ( JOBSOFTODAY)
The review will focus on O.C.T. teachers who were appointed in 2006 and met the eligibility criteria for promotion to Master cadre by August 30, 2008, and those appointed in 2008 or later who met the criteria by February 21, 2014.
Opportunity for Left-Out Cases
The PSEB notice also acknowledges potential "left-out cases" and provides an opportunity for these employees to present their case before a screening committee.
The screening will take place on two dates:
July 29, 2024: Sangrur, Hoshiarpur, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Fatehgarh Sahib, SAS Nagar, Rupnagar, Firozepur, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Barnala, Mansa
July 30, 2024: Patiala, Bathinda, Fazilka, Moga, Ludhiana, Malerkotla, Tarn Taran Sahib Nagar, Pathankot, Faridkot, Sri Muktsar Sahib
Venue
The venue for the screening is the Conference Hall, 6th Floor, DCEERT, Punjab, PSSSB Complex, Sector 62 Mohali, SAS Nagar.
Required Documents
Employees appearing before the committee must submit their cases with relevant documents, including:
* Appointment letter copy
* Attendance report
* Educational qualification certificates (including departmental approval, if applicable)
* Confidential reports
* Certificates of no complaint inquiry pending
