Punjab Schools Switch to Mobile App for Attendance Marking
Chandigarh, Punjab - July 18, 2024 - In a move to streamline daily routines and save teachers valuable time, the Directorate of School Education (Secondary), Punjab, has mandated the use of a new mobile application for recording student attendance.
The app, called "ePunjab school login", is now available for download on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
"This app will eliminate the need for teachers to maintain physical attendance registers and upload data to a separate portal," said a spokesperson for the Directorate. "With ePunjab school login, teachers can simply mark student absences directly within the app, saving them valuable time and effort."
The Directorate has instructed all school principals and teachers across Punjab to ensure daily attendance is recorded using the new app. This shift to a mobile platform is expected to improve efficiency and data accuracy for student attendance tracking in the state.

ਐਪ, ਜਿਸਦਾ ਨਾਮ "ePunjab ਸਕੂਲ ਲੌਗਿਨ" ਹੈ, ਹੁਣ ਗੂਗਲ ਪਲੇਅ ਸਟੋਰ ਅਤੇ ਐਪਲ ਐਪ ਸਟੋਰ ਦੋਵਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਡਾਊਨਲੋਡ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਹੈ।
"ਇਹ ਐਪ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਜ਼ੀਕਲ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਰਜਿਸਟਰ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਪੋਰਟਲ 'ਤੇ ਡਾਟਾ ਅੱਪਲੋਡ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ," ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਬੁਲਾਰੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ। "ePunjab ਸਕੂਲ ਲੌਗਇਨ ਨਾਲ, ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਐਪ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੈਰ-ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਕ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਸਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਬਚਦੀ ਹੈ।"
ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਮੁਖੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਨਵੇਂ ਐਪ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਰਿਕਾਰਡ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ। ਮੋਬਾਈਲ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮ ਵੱਲ ਇਸ ਤਬਦੀਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਟਰੈਕਿੰਗ ਲਈ ਕੁਸ਼ਲਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਡਾਟਾ ਸ਼ੁੱਧਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁधार ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ।
