Ludhiana, 3 November
With an objective to provide a platform to students where they can implement various scientific methods/theories through various models and projects, the State Level Science Fair cum Exhibition under Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA) was organized today at Residential school for Meritorious students Ludhiana.
The first position holders (under category 6th - 8th and 9th-10th) of all 23 districts participated in this state level exhibition. The event was inaugurated by the auspicious hands of Mrs. Vishavkirat Kahlon , Principal Residential school for Meritorious students . Mr. Sushil Bhardwaj ( State Project Coordinator- SCERT ) presided over the function and prompt the participants about importants of young generation in the field of science and technology .
Mr. Jatinder Vaku ( Principal Navodhya vidyalaya ), Dr. Sukhchain Kaur Bassi w/o MLA Ludhiana west Mr. Goggi , Dr Charanjit Singh ( Dupty DEO Ludhiana )also graced the occasion. The students show cased their science projects and models with great zeal and enthusiasm on the themes-Agriculture and Food Security, Energy Resources and conservation, Health, Environmental issues and concerns, Science and Everyday Life, Disaster Management , Science Games and Toys. The Panel of Judges for 9th-10th are Mr. Davinder Pabbi ( DM Kapurthala ) Mr. Abhinav Joshi ( Science master) Mr. Gurinder Singh ( BM science) . For 6th-8th category judges are Mr. Harjit Kumar Bawa (DM Jalandhar )
Mr . Sukhwinder Singh ( DM Hoshiarpur ) , Mr .Varinder kumar ( BM Samrala) . Under 6th-8th category,Ritu from Gssss Wajidpur Kattian wali , District- Fazilka Under the theme Disaster management bagged the first Position. Arshdeep kaur Dhillon from and Saheed Sipahi Gurbinder singh GHS Tolawal ,Distt- Sangrur and Jaskamal Singh from GMS Pandori Bawa Das Distt - Hoshiarpur under the theme Health environmental issues and concerns secured the second and third position respectively. Under 9th-10th category Arshpreet singh Saini from Mata Gujri Gssss Distt - Fategarh sahib under theme science in everyday life the first position, Sukhchain singh from Gssss Jhoomba distt - Bathinda got the second position and Samiksha Sharma from Gssss Civil Lines Patiala secured third position under the same theme . The Chief guest felicitated the winners with trophies and certificates At the end, Principal Mrs . Vishavkirat Kahlon thanked the guests for sparing their valuable time to grace the occasion with their presence. She also congratulated all the winnners and wished them good luck for future.
Whole program was successfuly organised by Mr . Jasvir Singh Sekhon ( DM SCIENCE Ludhiana ) and whole PPPP team Ludhiana.
