PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India (YASASVI)

MSJ&E of the Govt. of India, has formulated a scheme known as PM Young achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India (YASASVI) for award of scholarships to Other Backward Class (OBC), Economically Backward Class (EBC) and Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes De-notified Tribe(DNT) students, annual income of whose parents/guardian is not more than Rs. 2.5 lakhs, studying in identified Schools.

The award of scholarships is at two levels:

* For students who are studying in Class IX

* For students who are studying in Class XI

Selection of candidates for award of Scholarships under the Scheme is through a written test known as YASASVI ENTRANCE TEST (YET) 2022.

MSJ&E of Govt. of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the YASASVI ENTRANCE TEST-2022 to NTA.

PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award scheme named Top Class School Education for OBC,EBC and DNT students for a vibrant India (PM-YASASVI) for the welfare of OBC, EBC and DNT students.

Government of India, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, New Delhi Top Class School Scheme ਅਧੀਨ ਚੁਣੇ ਗਏ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮਿਤੀ 27-07-2022 ਤੋਂ 26-08-2022 ਤੱਕ ਵੈਬਸਾਈਟ https://yet.nta.ac.in ਤੇ ਐਪਲੀਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਰਜਿਸਟਰਡ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। 

Exam ਦੀ ਮਿਤੀ 11-09-2022 ਹੈ।

Test ਲਈ Eligibility ਹੇਠ ਦਰਸਾਏ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹੈ:-

1. Eligibility:

ਕਿਹੜੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਅਪਲਾਈ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ? ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਦੇ (OBC, EBC, DNT) ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੂਚੀ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਮਦਨ 2.5 ਲੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਘੱਟ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਅਪਲਾਈ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਕਿਨੀਂ ਸਕਾਲਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ?  

Rs. 75,000 p.a. for class 9/10

Rs.1,25,000 p.a. for class 11/12-covering the school/hostel fee.

3. Selection Process: By merit in the YASASVI Entrance Test (YET) conducted by national Testing Agency (details in https://yet.nta.ac.in)

4. Mode of exam: Computer Based Test (CBT)

5. Application open from :27-07-2022 to 26-08-2022

6. Correction window: 27-08-2022 to 31-08-2022

7. Display of Admit cards: 05-09-2022

8. Date of exam: 11-09-2022 (Sunday)

9. Documents for application: Students should have a valid functional Mobile Number, Aadhaar Number (UID), Aadhaar linked Bank Account, Income Certificate and Caste Certificate.

What is YASASVI ENTRANCE TEST(YET) for?

YASASVI ENTRANCE TEST(YET) is for selection of

eligible candidates for award of scholarship to candidates studying in Class IX and Class XI in identified Schools under the YASASVI Scheme.

What is the type of the YASASVI ENTRANCE  test? 

The test is an Objective type test comprising Multiple Choice Questions. Each question will have 4 possible answer options. Candidate will be required to mark any one of the options that he/she considers as the correct or the most appropriate answer.

Who are all eligible to apply  for YASASVI ENTRANCE ?

 Applicants should be Indian Nationals

 They should be OBC(NCL) as per Central List or

EBCs or DNTs.

 Candidate applying for Class 9 should be born

between 01-04-2006 to 31-03-2010 (both days

inclusive).

 Candidate applying for Class 11 should be born

between 01-04-2004 to 31-03-2008 (both days

inclusive).

 Income of the parents or guardian of the applicant

should be not more than Rs. 2.5 lakhs per annum

 Should be studying in Class IX or Class XI in the

Identified Schools

 Should have passed Class VIII or Class X during

the academic year 2021-22

What are the documents that are to be uploaded while applying YASASVI ENTRANCE?

An applicant has to upload the following documents:

 Passport size Photograph

 Signature

 Category Certificate

 Income Certificate

 PwD certificate if applicable

Is there any exam fee?

 Candidates are not required to pay any exam fee

What is the last date for submission of applications?

Candidates can apply online during the period from 27.07.2022 to 26.08.2022.

I am a PwD candidate, eligible for a scribe. What relaxations am I entitled to? 

PwD candidates with benchmark disabilities are eligible for compensatory time( Extra time) at the rate of 20 minutes for each hour of exam. In other words, in this exam, PwD candidates with benchmark disabilities will be eligible for 1 hour extra time. They are also eligible for a scribe if they have a limitation to write the exam and upload a certificate to that effect from the prescribed Medical Authority. Candidates are required to indicate their status and whether they need a scribe or not in their application form while applying.
