7. What is photoelectric effect ? Derive Einstein's photoelectric equation,
8. An electron and proton have same kinetic energy. Which of the two has a greater de-broglie  wavelength. Explain.

Calculate the frequency of a photon, whose energy is 75 eV. Given, 1ev=1.6x 10⁻¹⁹ J and h = 6.62 x 10⁻³⁴ Js.

14. State and prove prism formula.

The refractive indices of crown and flint glasses for blue and red is 1.523, 1.513 and
1.773, 1.743 respectively. Calculate dispersive powers of two glasses.
15. Derive an expression for total energy of an electron bound to the nucleus of a hydrogen
atom in ground state.
Or
Determine the speed of the electron in the n= 3 orbit of hydrogen atom.
