QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POST OF JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW
Essential
B.Sc./B. Tech with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 or 60% marks
M.Sc. with minimum 6.50/10.00 basis or 65% marks in the subject of Plant Pathology /Biochemistry/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Plant Breeding/Life Sciences along with NET/GATE qualification.
Note 1- The candidate who does not possess Masters degree in the relevant subject but possesses Ph.D degree in the discipline required at Masters level, shall be eligible for the post.
Desirable:
*Work experience involving plant molecular and biochemical/histological techniques supported by research publications.
*Proficiency in using statistical analysis softwares (R/SAS/SPSS) and interpretation of data.

Applications are invited for filling-up of one post of Senior Research Fellow @ Rs 31,000/- per month (fixed) + HRA 16% , under the scheme, “Identification and validation of newer approaches for the management of whitefly Bemisia tabaci (Hemiptera : Aleyrodidae), ICAR-45 (PC 2573)” on the prescribed form available in the office of undersigned on payment of Rs 200/- in the shape of bank draft payable at Ludhiana in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana on any working day from 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. alongwith attested copies of certificates for an initial period of six months from the date the incumbent joins or till the termination of the scheme, whichever is earlier.
Qualifications:
B.Sc. (Agriculture) with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 basis or 60% marks
M.Sc. Entomology with minimum OCPA 6.50 / 10.00 basis or 65% marks

Note-II: Desirable qualifications
Candidate with experience in handling whitefly, and of working on PCR amplification, qPCR and RNAi technique, isolation of total RNA/DNA from insects, will be given preference

The amount of first full month of fellowship payable to the Senior Research Fellow will be kept as Security with the Head, Department of Entomology and it will be paid to him/her as and when he/she leaves the fellowship after giving the requisite one month’s notice or deposits the amount of one month’s fellowship. The Senior Research Fellow resigning the fellowship shall have to give one month notice or have to deposit one month salary in lieu of one month notice.
