1. Detailed Scheme of Studies Class-X

According to the official PSEB guidelines for the 2026-27 session, every candidate must appear in a total of eight subjectsThe subjects are categorized into three groups: Group-A (Compulsory Academic Subjects), Group-B (Vocational/Elective Subjects), and Group-C (Activity Based Subjects). ਮੁੱਖ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ: ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਕੁੱਲ 650 ਅੰਕ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਿਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ । ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਗਰੁੱਪ-ਏ ਦੇ 6 ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਾਸ ਹੋਣਾ ਲਾਜ਼ਮੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਗਰੁੱਪ-ਬੀ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਪੀਅਰ (ਹਾਜ਼ਰ) ਹੋਣਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ।

2. Group-A & Group-B Marks Distribution

The core academic subjects in Group-A carry the most weightage. Here is the structure based on the official PSEB document:

3. Important Rules and Evaluation Criteria

Students must strictly follow these rules to qualify for the certificate:

• Passing Marks: It is mandatory to obtain at least 33% marks separately in Theory, Practical, and Internal Assessment (INA), as well as 33% in aggregate.
• Evaluation: Compulsory subjects of Group-A are evaluated at the Board level. Evaluation of Elective subjects (except Computer Science) and NSQF subjects will be done at the school level.
• Practical Exams: The practical examination for the Computer Science subject shall be conducted at the Board level through external examiners.
• Welcome Life: This is an activity-based subject, and marks are provided under the INA category.
