Punjab Secretariat Employees Demand Gazetted Holiday on 21 October 2025

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਿਵਲ ਸਕੱਤਰਤ ਸਟਾਫ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੱਠੀ ਲਿਖ ਕੇ 21 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2025 ਨੂੰ ਗਜ਼ਟਿਡ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਘੋਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸੁਸ਼ੀਲ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਚਿੱਠੀ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ 20 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2025 ਨੂੰ ਗਜ਼ਟਿਡ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਘੋਸ਼ਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਪੂਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਤੀ 21 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2025 ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਮਾਨਯੋਗ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮਿਤੀ 21 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2025 ਦੀ ਗਜਟਿਡ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਘੋਸ਼ਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ 20 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2025 ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਤੀ 21 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 2025 ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪੂਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਮਨਾਏ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋ ਵੀ ਗਜਟਿਡ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਘੋਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ।
The President of the Association, Sushil Kumar, wrote in the letter that the Punjab Government has already declared a gazetted holiday on **October 20, 2025**. This year, the sacred festival of Diwali is being celebrated across the entire country on **October 21, 2025** as well. Due to this, the Honorable Punjab and Haryana High Court has declared a gazetted holiday on **October 21, 2025**.
Therefore, in addition to October 20, 2025, kindly consider the declaration of a gazetted holiday by the Punjab Government on **October 21, 2025**, on the occasion of the sacred festival of Diwali which is being celebrated across the entire country.
