Eligibility & Age Limit

Educational Qualification
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University (or equivalent).
  • Punjabi as a subject at Matriculation (or equivalent as notified by Punjab Govt).
Service Background From among Ex-Indian Commissioned Officers only:
  • Army: Colonel / Lieutenant Colonel
  • Navy: Captain / Commander
  • Air Force: Group Captain / Wing Commander
Domicile Punjab domicile is mandatory.
Age Limit Not more than 55 years as on 01 January 2025.
Cut-off for Qualification Candidates must possess requisite qualification on or before 03 November 2025.

Pay, Probation & Job Profile

  • Initial Pay: ₹47,600 per month.
  • Probation: 3 years; fixed emoluments equal to minimum pay; no allowances during probation as per applicable notifications.
  • Role (District Defence Services Welfare Officer): District-level implementation of Defence Services Welfare schemes, ex-servicemen facilitation, coordination with Govt/Dept, and welfare programme execution.

  • Economic, Polity, Environment, Geography, Science & Tech, other current issues
  • History of India (Freedom Struggle), History of Punjab (14th century onwards)

Part-B: Mental Ability, Reasoning & Quantitative Aptitude

  • Data analysis, charts, tables, spreadsheets

Part-C: Punjabi

  • Vocabulary (synonyms/antonyms/one-word substitutions), idioms & proverbs

How to Apply Online for PPSC DSWO 2025

  1. Visit ppsc.gov.in and open the DSWO 2025 advertisement.
  2. Complete registration and upload photo & signature as per instructions.
  3. Fill the application form carefully (Name, Parent’s Name, DOB, Category, Qualifications, etc.).
  4. Pay the fee online and download payment receipt.
  5. Save/print your final application for future reference. Category once selected cannot be changed.
  6. Sports/PwD applicants: Submit required certificates by the notified email/office by 03 Nov 2025 for category benefit.
