JEE Main 2026 Overview
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026 in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode across two sessions: January 2026 (Session I) and April 2026 (Session II). The online application form for Session I will be live on the official website in October 2025.

Aadhaar Authentication & Name Mismatch Solution (Important for Registration)
To minimize errors during application, NTA will obtain Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Photograph and Address directly from UIDAI via Aadhaar authentication. Because the Father/Mother/Guardian name is not recorded in Aadhaar, candidates must enter these details separately in the online form.
What if my Aadhaar name does not match my Class 10 certificate?
An in-form name mismatch resolution option will be available during application. Additionally, candidates may refer to the NTA advisory dated 06 November 2024 on Aadhaar name mismatch for JEE (Main) 2025, which remains applicable to JEE (Main) 2026 as well.

NTA is working to increase the number of exam cities to improve accessibility and convenience for engineering aspirants. In addition, special attention is being given to address the requirements and needs of PWD/PwBD candidates appearing in JEE (Main) 2026.
