Overview: What is Pashu Mitra Policy 2025?
The Himachal Pradesh Government has notified the Pashu Mitra Policy-2025 (Multi-Task Worker) to strengthen doorstep animal-husbandry services and to create village-level jobs. Pashu Mitras will be deployed in veterinary institutions/Gram Panchayats, especially where Class-IV posts are vacant.

Physical Test (Qualifying)
The Physical Test will be conducted by the Pashu Mitra Engagement Committee chaired by the local SDM; members include the Assistant Director (Animal Husbandry) and the Senior Veterinary Officer (Member-Secretary).
Selection Method & Merit Matrix
Candidates who qualify the Physical Test will be assessed on a merit matrix. The maximum weightage for academic qualification and socio-economic parameters is detailed below.

Leave & Other Conditions
- One paid leave per month; women are eligible for 180 days maternity leave; miscarriage case: 45 days leave.
- Pashu Mitra shall not claim regularization; engagement is strictly as per policy terms.
- Performance and conduct will be reviewed by the veterinary institution/committee periodically.

- Download/collect the application form and attached checklist from the office/official portal.
