**Heavy Rainfall: All Educational Institutions in Kullu, Manali and Banjar to Remain Closed on August 25**


*Kullu, August 24, 2025 ( Jobsoftoday) * – The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Kullu has ordered the closure of all educational institutions in Banjar, Kullu, and Manali subdivisions on **25th August 2025** due to continuous heavy rainfall and the risk of landslides, flooding of rivers and nullahs, and road blockages.



The order, issued by **Torul S. Raveesh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairperson, DDMA Kullu**, stated that the decision was taken to ensure the safety and security of students amid worsening weather conditions.


The closure applies to **all schools, DIET, Anganwadi centres, colleges, ITIs, polytechnic institutes, engineering and pharmacy colleges (both government and private)** in the affected subdivisions.


Authorities have been instructed to take adequate measures to safeguard the wellbeing of students and the public.


The order was forwarded to senior state officials, including the Chief Secretary to the Government of Himachal Pradesh, the Director of Higher and Elementary Education, the Superintendent of Police Kullu, and other concerned authorities for immediate compliance.
