B. Essential Academic Qualifications (as on 30.09.2025)
- A candidate must hold a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
- Candidates who are in the Final Year/Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally. However, if called for an interview, they must produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before September 30, 2025.
- Candidates with professional qualifications like Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, etc., are also eligible.

Selection Procedure
The selection for Probationary Officers is a three-phase process.
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination
An online objective test for 100 marks with a duration of 1 hour. There will be separate timings for each section.

- The starting basic pay is ₹48,480/- (with 4 advance increments) in the scale of 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920.
- The official will also be eligible for DA, HRA, CCA, PF, NPS, LFC, Medical Facility, and other allowances as per rules.
- The approximate Cost to Company (CTC) at the initial scale of pay at Mumbai Centre is ₹20.43 Lacs.
