Hoshiarpur, Punjab ( JOBSOFTODAY)– An immediate and complete blackout has been imposed across Hoshiarpur district starting at 9:00 pm on Thursday, May 8, 2025. The directive was issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Hoshiarpur, Shrimati Ashika Jain.
According to an important message shared by DPRO Hoshiarpur, the blackout is effective immediately and will continue until further orders are received.
The announcement comes amidst a period of heightened civil defence preparedness in Punjab and surrounding regions. Authorities have been conducting various mock drills and security exercises, including blackout rehearsals, as part of a nationwide initiative to assess and enhance the response mechanisms to potential threats. While blackouts have been part of these scheduled drills, the announcement of an immediate and complete blackout for an indefinite period ("until further orders") signals a potentially more significant development.

ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ( ਜਾਬਸ ਆਫ ਟੁਡੇ) – ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀਰਵਾਰ, 8 ਮਈ 2025 ਨੂੰ ਰਾਤ 9:00 ਵਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਬਲੈਕ ਆਊਟ ਲਾਗੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਆਸ਼ਿਕਾ ਜੈਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
