JEE Main Result Released; 24 Students Score 100 Percentile, Piyusha Das Tops Punjab

The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the results of JEE Main 2025 late Friday night at 12:30 AM. This time, a total of 2,50,284 candidates have qualified for the JEE Advanced examination. Out of these, 24 students have achieved a perfect 100 percentile score.
Punjab’s Piyusha Das emerged as the state topper, while Arnav Singhal topped in Chandigarh, and Amogh Bansal secured the top position in Haryana. Rajasthan recorded the highest number of top scorers with 7 students scoring 100 percentile. Telangana followed with 4, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra with 3 each, and Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Punjab had 1 topper each.
In total, 56 students scored 100 percentile marks. Among them, 15 were from the first session, while 41 secured perfect scores in the second session. A significant cut-off drop was observed for General and OBC category candidates.

Result Controversy and Changes in Final Answer Key
NTA made 11 corrections in the final answer key:
- 1 question was dropped
- Answers of 6 questions were changed
- 4 questions had two correct options
This led to significant changes in many students’ scores and ranks.

Criticism of NTA
NTA is under criticism once again over discrepancies in answer keys and evaluation methods. Questions are being raised about the transparency and consistency of the examination process, with many students and parents expressing concerns.
