SAS Nagar, March 21, 2025 – The Punjab Education Department has announced the issuance of appointment letters to newly eligible candidates for the Master Cadre positions in various subjects. This follows the re-casting of the selection lists for 3704 Master Cadre posts based on a decision by the Hon'ble Punjab and Haryana High Court in Civil Writ Petition No. 4264 of 2021, Sikander Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab. The initial advertisement for these positions was released on February 28, 2020, and October 25, 2020.
According to an official notice released by the Directorate of School Education (Secondary), Punjab, the re-casted selection list includes eligible candidates in Hindi, Punjabi, and Social Studies. These are candidates who were not part of the previous selection list but have now become eligible based on the court's decision. Candidates who were already working in schools as per the old selection list and remain eligible in the re-casted list will continue in their positions.
The newly selected candidates are required to appear on March 25, 2025, at the fourth floor of the Directorate of School Education (Secondary), Punjab, Phase-8, SAS Nagar, to receive their appointment letters. Failure to receive the appointment letter on the specified date will result in the cancellation of their claim for the appointment.
