*Punjab Government Increases Pensioners' Dearness Relief**
Chandigarh, November 1, 2024 : The Government of Punjab has approved a 4% increase in dearness relief for all pensioners and family pensioners of the state government. The new rate of dearness relief is 42%, effective from November 1, 2024.
This increase will be reflected in the pension and family pension payments for the month of November 2024.
**Decision on arrears pending**
The government has not yet taken a decision on the release of arrears for the period from January 1, 2023, to October 31, 2024. This decision will be announced at a later date.
