Punjab Implements Uniform Salary Structure for Vocational Trainers and Coordinators
Mohali, September 3, 2024 ( PBJOBSOFTODAY) The Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan Authority, Punjab, under the Punjab School Education Board, has issued a directive to all Vocational Training Partners (VTPs) regarding the implementation of a uniform salary structure for Vocational Trainers (VTs) and Vocational Training Coordinators (VTCs). The memorandum, dated September 3, 2024, emphasizes that all VTPs must follow the revised salary structure starting from April 1, 2024.
According to the notice, a 5% salary increment has been approved for both VTs and VTCs, effective from April 1, 2024. The revised salary details for VTs include a Cost to Company (CTC) of ₹21,061, with net payable earnings amounting to ₹17,305. For VTCs, the gross pay is set at ₹33,823, with net payable earnings of ₹30,073.
The directive also mandates that all VTPs ensure proper implementation of the new salary structure, including basic pay slab, deductions, and deposits of EPF and ESI contributions. Additionally, no Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) is to be applied to the salaries of VTs and VTCs.
The department has warned that strict action will be taken against any VTP found violating these instructions. Furthermore, VTPs are required to submit their original invoices and RTGS proof for reimbursement within 15 days after disbursing the 5% increment arrears.
This move is expected to standardize the salary structures across the state, ensuring fair compensation for vocational trainers and coordinators working under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan in Punjab.
