The Government of Punjab's Department of Personnel (IAS Branch) has issued a new order, effective immediately, regarding the transfer and posting of certain IAS officers. The key changes include:
1. **Shri Kulwant Singh, IAS (2012)**, previously serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Moga and also Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, Moga, has been transferred and posted as the Deputy Commissioner of Mansa, replacing Shri Paramvir Singh, IAS.
2. **Shri Vishesh Sarangal, IAS (2013)**, who was the Deputy Commissioner of Gurdaspur, will now serve as the Deputy Commissioner of Moga and Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, Moga, replacing Shri Kulwant Singh, IAS.
3. **Shri Uma Shankar Gupta, IAS (2015)**, Director of Local Government, has been transferred to the position of Deputy Commissioner of Gurdaspur, replacing Shri Vishesh Sarangal, IAS.
4. **Shri Rajesh Tripathi, IAS (2016)**, who was the Additional Secretary, Revenue and Rehabilitation, and Director of Land Records, Settlement, Consolidation, and Land Acquisition in Jalandhar, will now serve as the Deputy Commissioner of Sri Muktsar Sahib, replacing Shri Harpreet Singh Sudan, IAS.
The order was issued on August 15, 2024, by Anurag Verma, the Chief Secretary to the Government of Punjab. The concerned authorities have been directed to make internal arrangements for the disposal of the work for the posts that have fallen vacant as a result of these transfers. Officers without any new postings have been instructed to report to the Secretary of Personnel for further orders.
