ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ 14 ਜੁਲਾਈ 2024 ( ਜਾਬਸ ਆਫ ਟੁਡੇ) ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਟ੍ਰੈਫਿਕ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਵਾਹਨ ਚਾਲਕ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਸਨਰੂਫ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਿਰ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਹੁਕਮ ਕੁਝ ਸਮੇਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰ ਰਹੀਆ ਦੁਰਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਬੰਗਲੌਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋ ਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਛੰਤ ਤੇ ਬਣੇ ਸਨਰੂਫ ( SUNROOF OF LUXURY VEHICLE ) ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚੋ ਛੋਟੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਉਸ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲ ਕੇ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਹਾਈਵੇਅ, ਸਟੇਟ ਹਾਈਵੇਅ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੋਰ ਸ਼ਰਾਬਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਡਰਾਇਵਰ ਜਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਤਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਭਟਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਐਕਸੀਡੈਂਟ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਖਦਸ਼ਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਦੇ ਚਲਾਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਾਹਨ ਚਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਨਰੂਫ਼ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਸਿਰ ਕੱਢਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਫੜਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ 'ਤੇ 25 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਰੁਪਏ ਤੱਕ ਦਾ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਮੋਟਰ ਵਹੀਕਲ ਐਕਟ ਦੀ ਧਾਰਾ 184 ਤਹਿਤ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਾਂ ਮਿਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਕੁਝ ਵਾਹਨ ਚਾਲਕ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਸਨਰੂਫ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਚਾਲਕ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸੜਕ ਵਰਤੋਂਕਾਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਖਤਰਨਾਕ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਨਿਯਮਿਤ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਕਰੇਗੀ ਕਿ ਵਾਹਨ ਚਾਲਕ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਇਸ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਾ ਸੜਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਾਰਕੁਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਚੱਲਦੀ ਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਸਨਰੂਫ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਿਰ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢਣ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਖਤਰਨਾਕ ਅਮਲ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਹਾਦਸੇ ਹੋ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਵਾਹਨ ਚਾਲਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਗੱਡੀ ਚਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਰਹਿਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਟ੍ਰੈਫਿਕ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲਦੀ ਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਸਨਰੂਫ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਿਰ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢਣ ਦੇ ਖਤਰਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਿੱਖਿਅਤ ਕਰਨ।
Punjab Police to Fine Drivers Who Poke Their Head Out of Sunroof
**Chandigarh:** The Punjab Police has issued a directive to all traffic police officials to fine drivers who poke their head out of the sunroof of their cars. The directive was issued after a recent incident in which a young boy was killed when he fell out of a moving car.
