Randomization of Female Staff for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024
District Election Officers in Punjab are instructed about the randomization process for female staff for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
The process of randomization of female staff has been revised in NextGen DISE, a computerized system used for deployment of polling staff.
In previous elections, the entire polling staff, both male and female, were randomized through a computerized process. However, this time around, there is an optional feature that allows deployment of female staff to a polling station within the Assembly Constituency (AC) in which her residence or office falls.
This option is meant to reduce inconvenience to female staff on the day of polling.
The randomization process still ensures that female staff are not deployed to the polling location where she is registered as an elector.
For this purpose, capturing of data about the AC, part number, and serial number is mandatory wherever it has not already been done.
Key points to remember:
- Randomization of female staff is still mandatory.
- The new system allows deployment of female staff to a polling station within the Assembly Constituency (AC) in which her residence or office falls (optional).
- Female staff will not be deployed to the polling location where she is registered as an elector.
This is a welcome change that will help to reduce inconvenience to female staff on the day of polling.
