ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਗ੍ਰਾਂਟਸ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ (ਯੂਜੀਸੀ) ਨੇ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ 20 ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਫਰਜ਼ੀ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਡਿਗਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ 8 ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਹੈ।
