ਜਲੰਧਰ : ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਿਹਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਡਾ. ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਇਥੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਪੱਧਰ ਘਟਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਰੋਕਥਾਮ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਹੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਰ ਹੇਠ ਆਏ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਹਤ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵੱਡੇ ਪੱਧਰ ’ਤੇ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਮ ਅਮਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਂਦੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਫੈਲਣੋਂ ਰੋਕਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।
ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਕੀ ਕੰਪਲੈਕਸ ਵਿਖੇ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਅਤੇ ਕਪੂਰਥਲਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਸਿਵਲ ਸਰਜਨਾਂ, ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਅਫ਼ਸਰਾਂ, ਆਈ.ਐਮ.ਏ. ਦੇ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਡਾਕਟਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਕੀਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਸੰਭਵ ਸਿਹਤ ਸੇਵਾ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਜਾਵੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜਿਉਂ-ਜਿਉਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਪੱਧਰ ਘੱਟ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਤਿਉਂ-ਤਿਉਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਫੈਲਣ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਵੀ ਵੱਧ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ ਸਿਹਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਟੀਮਾ ਵਲੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੀਆਂ ਦਵਾਈਆਂ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਣ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਹਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਲੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਸਿਹਤ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਜ ਵੱਡੇ ਪੱਧਰ ’ਤੇ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਵਲੋਂ ਸਿਹਤ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੇ ਫੰਡ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਫੈਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ, ਨਿੱਜੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਆਫ਼ਤ ਕਾਰਨ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਸੇਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਧ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਣ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਔਖੀ ਘੜੀ ਵਿਚ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੀਆਂ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਣ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਸਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬਲਕਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਸਿਹਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਘਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਸਮੇਂ ਪੀੜਤ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਹਤ ਦੁਆਉਣੀ ਭਲੇ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਜ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਲਈ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਲਕੇ ਹੰਭਲਾ ਮਾਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਦੀ ਮਾਰ ਝੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੋਢੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੋਢਾ ਲਾਕੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਰ ਸੰਭਵ ਮਦਦ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਸੁਸ਼ੀਲ ਰਿੰਕੂ ਨੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਹਰ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਸਥਿਤੀ ’ਤੇ ਕਾਬੂ ਪਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
Jalandhar : Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh on Saturday said that the State Government was fully geared up to prevent any spread of water & vector borne diseases in flood hit areas besides ensuring requisite medical and healthcare services to people at affected places.
While reviewing the functioning of Health Department’s teams in Jalandhar and Kapurthala districts here at local DAC, the Minister stated that Punjab Government was aware about the expected outbreak of such diseases as the water level receded. He said elaborate healthcare arrangements had also been finalized besides deputing medical teams in flood affected areas of state so as to efficaciously contain the health problems, if any.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was minutely monitoring the situation, said the Minister adding that the State Government had already given its nod to the funds needed for this purpose. He said that medical teams were continuously holding camps besides providing needful medicines to the affected people. He also interacted with the Civil Surgeons, Senior Medical Officers, representatives of Indian Medical Association and doctors of private hospitals to get the information in both districts. He commended the role of helath teams, IMA and religious organizations working shoulder to shoulder with the Punjab Government to help the people in distress. The Minister also reiterated that the State Government was making all out efforts to ensure healthcare services in such remote areas. The Members of IMA has also handed over large quantity of medicines to the Minister, which could be given to the people in flood affected areas.
Meanwhile, the Local Government Minister Balkar Singh also lauded the efforts of health teams serving in these areas. Member Parliament Sushil Rinku thanked the organizations working for the cause of humanity to extend helping hand to people facing arduous challenges in these trying circumstances.
