Rupnagar, December 20: Roads leading to all the places associated with Sikh history will be further developed from Sri Anandpur Sahib to Fatehgarh Sahib and no effort will be spared to maintain the memorials related to the martyrs. These views were expressed by MLA Constituency Payal Manwinder Singh Giaspura during while addressing press conference in the committee room of the district administrative complex.
MLA Manwinder Singh Giaspura said with the aim of connecting the young generation with the Sikh history and to revive the Sikh spirit in the children, special programs will be organized in schools in which the martyrdom of Sahibzadas will be explained. MLAs will participate in religious Yatras with the Sangat which were organised as earlier.
He further informed that seminars are also being conducted in Punjabi University, Punjab Agricultural University and Guru Nanak Dev University.
MLA further divulged that out of the three bridges from Ropar Headworks to Gurudwara Chhan Kumma Mashki related to Safar e Shahadat Marg to be construed, the work of two bridges is being completed soon while the work of one bridge will be started soon.
He made it clear that all the religious events and yatras going on from Sri Anandpur Sahib to Fatehgarh Sahib will be organized by the concerned organizations as earlier in which Punjab government will be provided all facilities.
On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Development Amardeep Singh Gujral said that Safar e Shahadat Marg will be notified soon, for which a file has been sent to the Punjab Government. Apart from this, village's gyms will be named after 'Vade Sahibjade' and Salai Kendra will be named after Mata Gujar Kaur Ji.
In this meeting, MLA Rupnagar Constituency Advocate Dinesh Kumar Chadha, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Harjot Kaur, XEN Tourism BS Chana, Motor Vehicle Inspector Ranpreet Singh Bhiora, Avinash Preet Singh Jalla, PA MLA Giaspura Manjit Singh, Kuljinder Singh, Manjit Singh, PA MLA Ropar Advocate Satnam Singh Satti, Barinderjit Singh Banth, Vikram Garg, Amandeep Singh and Mandeep Singh were present.
