Scheme to start with construction workers & their wards from current fiscal, beneficiaries to get Rs 2500/month during training plus 12 months
The Punjab Cabinet led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday gave the go-ahead to an innovative new scheme – ‘Mera Kaam Mera Maan (MKMM), to facilitate the unemployed youth of the youth in honing their skills and enhancing their employability in their chosen field through free short-term skill training.
The Cabinet decided to roll out the scheme from the current fiscal on a pilot basis for construction workers and their wards. A target of 30000 beneficiaries has been proposed, at a cost of Rs.90 crore, to be covered under this pilot project.
The Cabinet also authorized the Chief Minister to extend the scheme to other sections of the society as and when appropriate, besides empowering the Employment Generation, Skill Development & Training Minister to make any amendments in the scheme as required from time to time for its successful implementation.
According to a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office, the scheme provides employment assistance allowance of Rs.2500 per month for a period of 12 months from the start of the training course under the short-term skill training programmes in the Punjab Skill Development Mission training centers. The said allowance shall be given during the training period, and after successfully completing the training during the pre-placement and post-placement period of 12 months from the date of the start of programme.
Under MKMM scheme, the eligible construction workers/ward of construction worker registered with Construction Workers Welfare Board, Department of Labour, should contact the District Bureau of Employment and Enterprise of the concerned district to apply for the benefit.
Notably, the Captain Amarinder Singh government’s flagship programme ‘Ghar Ghar Rozgar te Karobar Mission’ has so far facilitated gainful employment to approximately 17.61 lakh youth since April 1, 2017, including 7.02 lakh in private sector, 9.97 lakh self employment ventures besides 62,743 government jobs.

: ਸੂਬੇ ਦੇ ਬੇਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਥੋੜੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਮੁਫਤ ਹੁਨਰ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੋਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਤੇ ਹੁਨਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਨੇ ਵੀਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਵੇਕਲੀ ਨਵੀਂ ਸਕੀਮ 'ਮੇਰਾ ਕੰਮ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਣ' ਸਕੀਮ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਹਰੀ ਝੰਡੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਕਾਮਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਪਾਇਲਟ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ 'ਤੇ ਇਹ ਸਕੀਮ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਪਾਇਲਟ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟ ਤਹਿਤ 30,000 ਲਾਭਪਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਦਦ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਟੀਚਾ ਮਿੱਥਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ 'ਤੇ 90 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਲਾਗਤ ਆਵੇਗੀ। ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਕੀਮ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਵਰਗਾਂ ਤਕ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਉਚਿਤ ਸਸਮਝਣ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਇਸ ਸਕੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਫਲਤਾਪੂਰਵਕ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਰੋਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਉਤਪਤੀ, ਹੁਨਰ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਤੇ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਮੇਂ-ਸਮੇਂ 'ਤੇ ਇਸ ਸਕੀਮ 'ਚ ਕੋਈ ਸੋਧ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦਫਤਰ ਦੇ ਬੁਲਾਰੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸਕੀਮ ਅਧੀਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਹੁਨਰ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਕੇਂਦਰਾਂ 'ਚ ਥੋੜੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੇ ਹੁਨਰ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ ਤਹਿਤ ਟ੍ਰੇਨਿੰਗ ਕੋਰਸ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਤੋਂ ਲਾਭਪਾਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ 12 ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਲਈ 2500 ਰੁਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਰੋਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਭੱਤਾ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਕਤ ਭੱਤਾ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਤੋਂ ਪਲੇਸਮੈਂਟ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਲੇਸਮੈਂਟ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦੇ 12 ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ ਸਫਲਤਾਪੂਰਵਕ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। 'ਮੇਰਾ ਕੰਮ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਣ' ਸਕੀਮ ਤਹਿਤ ਕਿਰਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਕਾਮੇ ਭਲਾਈ ਬੋਰਡ ਕੋਲ ਰਜਿਸਟਰਡ ਯੋਗ ਉਸਾਰੀ ਕਾਮੇ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਰੋਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਤੇ ਉਦਮ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਨਾਲ ਤਾਲਮੇਲ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਸਕੀਮ ਦਾ ਫਾਇਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਪਲਾਈ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ
