 Sir Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to express my views on the use of unfair means by the students in examination. We can see that people in general and the students in particular have become very impatient these days. They want success but they do not want to work hard. 

 Throughout the year, they waste their time doing futile things. They use mobile phones, ride their bikes, watch movies etc. They hardly devote time to studies. So, when the exams come, they are not fully prepared. Then they resort to using unfair means. Earlier students indulged in mass copying only. But nowadays many other methods are used. Efforts are made to get the question papers leaked. Sometimes mobile phones are also taken to the exam centres. So much so that parents are also involved in these immoral activities. 

 Due to these malpractices, the hardworking students are demoralised. The very purpose of holding the exams is defeated. The problem should be taken very seriously. I would like you to publish my views in your newspaper so that an awareness can be created.

Sir Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw the attention of the authorities towards the bad condition of the roads in my locality. The roads in my locality are in such a bad shape that driving on them is a pain in the neck. There are big pot holes making it almost impossible to drive. In rainy season these pot holes are filled with water which worsens the situation. A lot of small accidents happen daily. People fear taking their new vehicles on these roads as they get damaged even without accidents. 

 The roads are so dusty that people riding on two-wheelers face a lot of problems. They reach their destinations with their faces and clothes covered with dust. 

Old and sick people are the worst affected. They cannot reach their doctors in emergency. Therefore, I request the authorities to take action as soon as possible. 

 Kindly publish my views in your newspaper so that the concerned authorities can take the required action. I shall be thankful to you.

Mobile phone, as a source of communication and information has really revolutionised our lives. The world has never been so inter-connected before as it is now. The students have access to every type of information which can help them in competitive exams.

But where there are roses, there are thorns also. Apart from using mobile phones for informative purpose, the children have started using them for playing games like PUBG and Blue Whale. These games have dangerous consequences. Net surfing has made them mature beyond their years. They have stopped playing outdoor games which has resulted in serious health issues like obesity, tension, insomnia and depression. We can sum up by saying that parental guidance is needed while allowing children to use mobile phones. Kindly publish my views in your newspaper so that an awareness can be created. Thanking you.

This problem has become very common and needs to be addressed urgently. The society in general and the youngsters in particular have become very impatient nowadays. 

The youngsters do not play outdoor games and their energies are not properly channelised. Parents are too busy to take care of their teenage children. This neglect is one of the main reasons behind indiscipline among students. Exposure to social media has also contributed to this problem. They are distracted from their studies. They try to ape some movie stars and fail to understand the difference between reel and real life. Cut throat competition also contributes to the problem. The students resort to unethical practices like cheating and using unfair means as they are under pressure to perform well in exams. Kindly publish my views so that the parents, teachers and society in general can be made aware.

 Sir I would like to draw your attention to the excessive use of loudspeakers in the city. Ours is a small and peaceful city. Since we do not have big industry here, the atmosphere is very peaceful. But for the last few months, the peace of our city is being disturbed by the excessive use of loudspeakers. Almost all the religious places use loudspeakers. Sometimes their use can be justified but mostly it creates disturbance. 

 Sir, I am a student and examinations are just around the corner. Many inconsiderate people start playing music at any time of the day. Some people use big speakers on tractors and open jeeps. The students cannot prepare for exams in such a din. Same is true for old and sick people. They must be deprived of sound sleep. The peaceful atmosphere of the city should not be disturbed at any cost. It is, therefore, requested that loudspeakers should be banned and the timings during which they can be used should be fixed.  Sir I wish to draw your attention to the insanitary conditions in my locality. The condition of drains is very pathetic. They are not covered and most of the time they are blocked by polythene bags. As a result, the unclean water enters the streets causing foul smell everywhere. The pedestrians have a very tough time and they often get their shoes wet. 

The municipal staff responsible for keeping the drains clean do not perform their duty properly. Heaps of garbage can be seen everywhere. The sweeper turns a deaf ear to the requests made to him. Mosquitoes and flies breed on these garbage heaps. During rainy season, gutters are all filled and water starts entering the houses. I request you to instruct the sanitary staff to take necessary action. Drains should be covered or else some epidemic might spread. It will be appreciated if you take a round of the locality.
