candidates for recruitment to 16 Posts of Principal (College Cadre) (Group-A) in the
Department of Higher Education, Government of Punjab.
NUMBER AND RESERVATIONS OF THE POSTS: 16
INITIAL PAY: Rs. 1,44,200/-
The minimum pay admissible for the ibid posts shall be as per Notification No. HED –
EDU10MISC/121/2022-5edu/I/434672/2022 dated 28/09/2022 and notification no
7/204/2012-4F.P.1/66 dated 15/01/2015, Government of Punjab, Department of Finance
(Finance Personnel-I Branch) Chandigarh; and Notification No.1/6/2016- 4P.P.1/834680/1
dated 07/09/2016 Government of Punjab, Department of Personnel PP-I Branch
Chandigarh and letter no. 7/204/2012-4F.P.1/853793/1 dated 04/10/2016, Fixed
emolument equal to minimum pay without any allowance, will be paid during the
probation period of 3 years.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
4.1 Ph. D. Degree.
4.2 Professor/ Associate Professor with a total service/ experience of at least fifteen years of
teaching/ research in Universities, Colleges and Other institutions of higher education.
4.3 A minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC- listed journals.
4.4 A minimum of 110 Research Score as per Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Regulations 2018.
4.5 Should have passed Punjabi of Matric or its equivalent Standard.
5. AGE
5.1 Candidates should not be below 21 years and above 53 years of age as on 01/01/2023.
