Pradeep Chhabra and Rajinder Singh Chani participated in Adolescent Conclave 2022 at Andhra Pradesh

State Council of Educational Research and Training of Andhra Pradesh organized Adolescent Conclave 2022 under one day school health and wellness program at Gateway Hotel Vijayawada in collaboration with UNICEF in which Pradeep Chhabra English Master and State Assistant Nodal Officer National Population Education Program Punjab, from State Council of Educational Research and Training Punjab and Rajinder Singh Chani S.S. Master and State Media Coordinator participated.
In this program Dr. Zoya Ali Rizvi Deputy Commissioner Health and Family Welfare Ministry of Government of India, Shri J. Residence IAS Commissioner Health and Family Welfare Department Andhra Pradesh, Dr. Gauri Srivastava Dean NCERT New Delhi, Dr. Bijaya Malik, Assistant Professor NCERT New Delhi, Dr. B. Pratap Reddy Director SCERT Andhra Pradesh, Dr. Melissa Nyendak CDC DG, HT India Director Ms. Meital Rusdia from UNICEF discussed the problems of adolescence and their possible solutions.
Hema Rani Putta Project Coordinator and State Nodal Officer Population Education Program State Council of Educational Research and Training Andhra Pradesh and Dr. Shalini Sharma gave detailed information about the ongoing school health and wellness program in Andhra Pradesh. They said that in collaboration with National Educational Research and Training Council New Delhi and Deputy Commissioner Dr. Zoya Ali Rizvi, 11 modules have been translated into 6 tribal languages. More than 20 lakh students of the state will be able to benefit from it. Although it has faced some difficulties, it has also brought many qualitative benefits. A website and app have also been developed by the Education Department of Andhra Pradesh. Adolescent age children who complete the course through this app or website and score 80 percent or more in the feedback will be issued an online certificate.
After participating in the school health and wellness program held in Andhra Pradesh, Pradeep Chhabra, Assistant Nodal Officer, Population Education Program and Rajinder Singh Chani State Media Coordinator thanked Education Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains and Dr. Maninder Singh Sarkaria, Director, State Educational Research and Training Council, Punjab and Sushil Bhardwaj State Nodal Officer and said that by participating in the workshop during this visit, he got an opportunity to know the efforts being made by the education department of Andhra Pradesh towards the mental health care of children.
He said that the main objective of Punjab's Bhagwant Mann Government is to provide quality education and health facilities to the students. Representing Punjab, Assistant Nodal Officer Pradeep Chhabra said that role plays and other activities have been conducted at the block and district level under the population education program in Punjab as well and in the future, more awareness work is to be done with better planning.
In Andhra Pradesh Adolescent Education Summit 2022, Pradeep Chhabra and Rajinder Singh Chani were awarded certificates and were given plants by Dr. Zoya Ali Rizvi, Hema Rani, Dr. Bijaya Malik from the State Educational Research and Training Council of Andhra Pradesh.
In this Conclave, Dr. Harish Kumar Meena Assistant Professor NCERT New Delhi, Dr. Meena Nair Project Coordinator NPEP SCERT Kerala, Dr. Shobha Project Coordinator SCERT Maharashtra, Dr. Rajeev Aravindakshan AIIMS Manglagiri (AP), Dr. Nirmala Glory NHM, Dr. Sathish from SAATHII NGO, Raj Shekar and other officials also shared their views in Adolescent Conclave 2022.
